PUPPY PIC of the DAY One of the many blessings of having several generations here is that there is great puppy raising wisdom & experience available in all our dogs. All of our dogs help raise every other dog that comes after them, which is as it should be. Featured here is the splendid Hawks Hunts Rainy Day. Rain is grandmother to these puppies and one of their best friends. She is 11.5 years old, and produced many great puppies herself including our beloved Spider. Rain was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the mammary tissue in November 2013. This was shocking news, as weve never had a dog with osteo, never mind osteo in mammary tissue which is rare. But, here we are with this dear old girl in good shape, thanks to 3 rounds of chemo and great care from our veterinary oncologist Dr. Kenneth Rassnick and the wonderful team at Veterinary Medical Center of Central New York. For so many reasons, not the least of which is that we love this dog beyond words, we are grateful to have Rain here helping us raise more grandkids.
