PUSHY PRAYER “...Men ought always to pray and not to faint.” (Luke 18:1) All through ages, people of faith have always looked up to God to remove every yoke in their life and fight their battles. A yoke is anything that restricts freedom and makes life difficult to bear. Yokes could be failure, sickness, poverty, fruitlessness, or diseases. However intimidating and burdensome any yoke may be, there is an all-powerful God, who expects us to pray so as to break such yokes. God cannot disappoint anyone that puts his faith in Him because the” effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Sin is one of the major hindrances to prayer. The prayer of a sinner is an abomination to God. Therefore, holy living is required before you can receive answers to your prayers. To get yokes in our lives broken, persistence in prayer is indispensable. This means that we must continue in prayers until we receive from God like Elijah, Daniel, and Hannah did. Ye must put your faith in God, so as to receive something from Him. We should be persistent in fervent prayers so as to break all our yokes. Challenge: How often do you pray? Prayer: Lord, help me to pray always in faith and not to faint. Further Reading: James 5:16-18
