PUTIN BIRTHDAY ART: To mark the 62nd birthday of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a Facebook group, the Vladimir Putin Supporters Group, has organized an exhibition in his honor. The artworks in the exhibition re-imagine the mythic12 labors of Hercules with Putin, naturally, in the role of the Greek hero. The artists, the group said, wanted to remain anonymous. In a Facebook post about the exhibition, the group said it had found surprising parallels between the myth and contemporary events: the three-headed dog Cerberus resembles the United States, it said, while the cleaning the Augean stables was akin to the fight against corruption.
