Pacers, Warriors have six each on All-Star ballot The Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors each have a league-high six players on the NBA All-Star ballot released Friday. Indiana’s six are guards George Hill and Lance Stephenson and frontcourt players Paul George, Danny Granger, Roy Hibbert and David West. Granger has yet to play this season due to injury. Golden State’s six are guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and frontcourt players Harrison Barnes, Andrew Bogut, Andre Iguodala and David Lee. Barnes is a sixth man. There is just one rookie on the ballot, and it’s not Philadelphia 76ers guard Michael Carter-Williams. It is Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo, who was the preseason choice of many media members for Rookie of the Year but does not start on his own team. The only teams with three guards are the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers. Eight teams have five players. More significantly, 13 teams have just three, including the Los Angeles Lakers and Oklahoma City Thunder. The 120 players on the ballot were selected by a media panel comprised of Greg Anthony of NBA Digital, Mary Schmitt Boyer of the Cleveland Plain Dealer and the PBWA, Zach Lowe of Grantland and John Reid of the New Orleans Times Picayune. Balloting began Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET and ends Jan. 20. Starters for the All-Star Game will be announced Jan. 23 on TNT. You can vote almost anywhere with a keyboard and an internet connection.
