Package for fake Indian IDs If you are a Bangladeshi and ready - TopicsExpress

Package for fake Indian IDs If you are a Bangladeshi and ready to pay Rs 50,000-60,000, you can get a voter card, driving licence, PAN card, ration card and a pass book of a nationalised bank issued in India as part of a package, BSF sources said after interrogating some infiltrators. Last week, around 20 infiltrators from Bangladesh who had fake Indian documents were caught by the BSF in Hili. The arrests come at a time the BJP has demanded to know from the chief minister how infiltrators were getting such papers without verification. Sources said the intelligence branch of the BSF had started an investigation. On October 12, BSF had arrested a Bangladeshi youth in Hili. He had identified himself as Prabhat Mandal from S. Kotiajote village near Nakshalbari in Darjeeling district. Later, he told the BSF that his name was Sahidul Islam and he was a Bangladeshi national. “He showed a PAN card, ration card, a passbook of a nationalised bank and other papers. Later, he confessed that an agent had prepared all the documents. It is surprising that the man had not come to India to get the papers made. One has to produce an affidavit before a first class magistrate to get these documents,” said a BSF source. The youth told the BSF that he had paid Rs 55,000 to the agent. According to sources, those wanting documents do not have to appear before a magistrate. “When the papers are issued, the relatives of the person contacts an agent who pushes people across the border and hands over the documents to them. The agent then contacts his Bangladeshi counterpart who hands over the documents to the addressee,” said the source. Six blocks in South Dinajpur share a 252km border with Bangladesh and about 35km of it is without fencing. Most part of the unfenced border is in Hili. Hili railway station is on the Bangladesh side of the border 10-15m from the zero point. Most people take the train to Hili station and enter India through Ujal, Dakshinpara and other areas. BSF sources said a red alert had been sounded in Hili after the Burdwan blast. An agent said around Rs 10,000 is charged for a ration card. “Areh dada shobai jane kibhabe kaj gulo hoy. Taka felun na, ja chaiben shob paben. Kono chinta nei. Driving license theke shuru kore shob. Tobe package chaile khorcha onek pore jabe, prai Rs 50,000, kom-beshi. Tobe kaaj pakka hobe (Brother everyone knows how these works are done. Just throw the MONEY, you will get what you want. Do not worry. Starting from driving licence to everything. But if you want a package it will be very expensive, almost Rs 50,000 more or less. But the work will be proper),” the agent said. On October 12, another Bangladeshi national, Majid Patwari, was arrested from Hili and he had voter card of Sutargaon village neat Dabka under Yamunamukh Assembly constituency of Hozal subdivision, Naogaon district, Assam. Sangram Singh Biswal, the commander, Hili outpost, said: “Some infiltrators have confessed that they had prepared the papers for free movement in India . They have said they have got the identity cards with the help of relatives who are in India.” Since January, around 300 people have been arrested by the BSF for not having valid papers. “The infiltrators also change their religious identity. Sahidul identified himself as Prabhat Mandal. After getting the assignment, an agent contacts a person, gives some MONEYto him to get an assurance that he would be identified as a near relative of the party or even as their parents. Then a recommendation letter is issued from the local civic body and based on that the cards are issued. This is a racket and it is deep rooted,” said a BSF officer.
