Packaged School Supply Chairperson Needed for Next School Year Many McWhirter PTA committee positions have not been filled for next school year. Sadly, that means that we will not have some of the great programs that you enjoyed this year like being able to order pre-packaged school supplies for next year. This position only takes 12 hours of work for the entire year! Many of our volunteers are full time working parents and parents with babies and preschoolers still at home. You can pick a position that fits YOUR schedule and you never have to do it all on your own. McWhirter PTA is a great team and we would love to have you join us! Position Needed: School Supply Chairperson Description: Spend about 4 hours in April gathering the school supply lists from teachers and submitting them to EPI (our school supply vendor.) The first two weeks of May, the chairperson gathers school supply orders from parents to submit to EPI - this takes about 4 hours total. After this, the chairperson contacts EPI to schedule a delivery date. This takes less than 30 minutes a month. On the delivery day (typically the Friday before school starts), the chairperson is at the school with other PTA members to pass out the pre-labeled packs to the grade levels. This takes about 2 hours. Total Time Commitment: 12 hours for the entire year
