Packed with stories, songs, poems and live painting this interactive storytelling event will entertain, educate, engage and inspire audience members. The main theme will focus on the undeniable notion that every single person has natural gifts that can be developed and shared, thus, enriching the lives of all in this collective human experience. We will include, as examples, the classic works of inspirational, accomplished African American artists such as Maya Angelou’s - “Still, I Rise”, Langston Hughes- “Weary Blues” and “A Dream Deferred” and Gil Scott Heron’s -“Revolution” into a memorable performance presented in an upbeat, motivational style. Also, improvisational story-building, music and rap will be utilized on many levels providing a modern twist to classic storytelling in the form of “edu-tainment”
