Paddadam Project update. Today is the last day for the 2 workers that were kindly sponsored by Mr Albert Willemse of Pick n Pay. Our big hold up is that we have been unable to source a tracked excavator to help us remove the mud and reeds. Claude Newberry has sourced a donation of 3000 litres of fuel and is prepared to loan us his dump trucks to haul away the excavated material but he does not have a tracked excavator. Afrimats excavator is now in PMB and everyone else is busy with theirs. We are down to R1765 in the kitty for the project so contributions are welcome but what we really need a tracked excavator or the Paddadam project will grind to a halt.
