Pag.6 Stones don’t speak, but Zoez makes them speak, and they speak about their conception of life, values, and concerns. So it all began…. I wasn’t even twenty years when an inner concern drove me to the mountain to meditate. He spent many years in meditation, and in the search of new forms of life. One day he had a feeling, a sensation unknown until that moment, he receives immaterial signals, clear like water, that took life and tried to tell him something… an intelligent energy expressed itself before him. He noted on the stones a great compilation of information stored for centuries… With great enthusiasm of this revelation, driven by a superior force, he begins to pick up the marine stones and put them up to the mountain, he begins to give form to what we have today. It was not a product of planning but from intuition; “it was like a dream. Stone by stone I am feeling the need to express images that are stored there, and they only take form when I make them”, reflects Zoez. (14). The first made work was the Conciencia Cosmica (Cosmic Consciousness), considered the philosophical stone of the Museum, it has a shape of a giant spiral that the visitor should go over with the eyes closed. Step by step, other sculptures come up, where he expresses his revelations. What we see today is the product of almost 20 years of investigation and reflection, which began on December 24th 1966, followed by 3 years of making the first part of the Garden, which was inaugurated by the Universidad Simon Bolivar (USB) (Simon Bolivar University), coast faculty, together with the Colegio de Periodistas (College of Journalists), Vargas section, and Civil Office of the Municipality of Vargas, on June 30th 1990 (15). In that occasion, the USB published a book that was godfathered by Dr. Alirio Abreu Bureli, this publication and the records of the inaugural act were kept in its library, but unfortunately, due to the natural disaster of 1999, the floods destroyed the place and all these documents got lost. It was inaugurated as Museum of Ecologic Art due to the materials he uses in his works and for promoting the harmony with nature.
