Pages of file pertaining to Robert Vadra-DLF land deal missing from Haryana government records In a new twist to the controversial DLF-Robert Vadra deal, two pages of a file pertaining to the case are missing from government records. The issue of missing pages came to light when former director general (DG) Consolidation and whistle blower IAS officer Ashok Khemka got the copy of that particular file through RTI. The file is related to a committee which was formed by the previous Haryana government to examine the rights of Khemka who cancelled the mutation of Vadra-DLF deal. Later, the committee gave clean chit to the deal and chargesheeted Khemka for misconduct. Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda during his election campaign had said that he had no role in the deal and was ready to quit politics if his involvement was proved in land deals between Congress President Sonia Gandhis son-in-law and DLF. He said, Haryana government has nothing to with it. It is a propaganda against us. If anyone can prove that there is even one inch of government land, I will quit. Vadra has been accused of taking an interest-free loan of Rs 65 crores and heavy bargains on land from DLF Limited in exchange for political favors. In response to the accusation, DLF had responded saying that it had dealt with Vadra as a private entrepreneur and that the loan was business advance which was given to make payments for land purchased from Vadra. There were documents in the past that revealed that Vadra bought land from Omkareshwar properties using a fictitious cheque. Documents also showed that Vadra, through his firm Skylight Hospitality, bought 3.5 acres land from Omkareshwar properties in February 2008 and in its filings with the government stated that money had been paid in full for the transaction. There were also reports that that Skylight Hospitality did not have money to pay for the land in its accounts. Khemka in his report had said that the money was paid after receiving an advance from DLF, but that too through another one of Vadras companies.
