Paging Dr. Dad - After a VERY long day that started at 1:30a for me this morning, I am finishing the day here with all of Megans faithful followers. I apologize for not posting this week, happily it has been uneventful, yet very hectic. By uneventful I mean four chemo treatments (including the one I just finished at the kitchen counter), a wonderful gift basket from Baskets of Hope, a baseball practice, game, and field day for Noah, an interview with Channel 13, a minor mental breakdown, and a bunch of other stuff I am forgetting. Tomorrow, Tara, Megan, Noah, and I are heading north to visit Minneapolis. I wanted to give the kids a chance to have a bit of fun up there before being confined to a hospital room for 30 days. We are planning a quick stop at the hospital to let Noah see the transplant floor. After that we are going to visit the Ronald McDonald House to see where we will hopefully be spending our summer. Megan was bummed to hear that Jerry, the house dog, does not work weekends. Apparently he has negotiated himself some nice easy bankers hours at RMH. After a tour there we will be heading to the Mall of America! The kids are very excited about this, and it should be a lot of fun. If we are not all exhausted now, we will be by this time tomorrow. Megan will have to get her chemo treatment in the hotel room (kinda like Lance Armstrong) tomorrow night. Sunday is up in the air right now but I keep hearing this strange work IKEA being thrown around. Not sure what that means?!? I will have plenty of posts this coming week, as there really has been a lot to talk about, but just no time to do it. Look for Megan and Noah on Channel 13 at 5:00pm on Monday. She is doing great and anxious to get started on the next phase of her climb. Thank you all again for your positive thoughts and prayers - Keep them coming!!! -Dad
