League Players (60% of total attendance): (League players for BLD leagues) If you are under 17 you are out of luck! I have not seen ANY baseball Leagues for BLD either! a. Live within 10 miles of the park: 53% b. Live within 14 miles of the park: 71% c. Live within 19 miles of the park: 85% Within 19 miles of the park? Not impressed at all! 2. Tournament Players (40% of total attendance): a. Local City Teams: 1% ---- So local teams do not support BLD facilities for tournaments? .. Too expensive maybe? b. S. California Teams traveling >20 miles: 85% How about the Other parks. How far do people travel to play at the Texas parks or in Las Vegas?? no stats for those fields?? Why not? c. Out of State Teams: 14% (WOW!!!) So I guess the out of state teams will not be coming to Middleburg? 3. Group Event Attendees* (Not included in paid attendance numbers) (Approximately 3,500/year): a. In-state Companies: 15% b. Out of State Companies: 85%Typical Companies have $30M or more in annual sales. Attendees are generally senior management. We ALL know where companies go when they consider a company function in FLORIDA...Miami or ORLANDO....I wonder why that is??? Average Household Size: 3.5 people per household Average Household Income: $56,000 - $73,000 Sports Spending: a. Sports Participation: Seventy-five percent spend >$100/year to participate in sports. b. Sports Equipment Purchases: Eighty-three percent spend >$100/year on sports/recreation/exercise equipment. These stats are misleading...Notice ALL sports are included???? Dont forget that travel ball keeps being misrepresented here too... Seasonality: Softball and other sports are played year-round. Individual parks have different seasonal peaks in attendance. Softball....Softball....Softball... What about baseball.... I was not aware of too many travel ball teams for kids and Softball...maybe i am wrong... Visibility: a. The Entrance Area: 72% BLD Clay is going to be built OUT OF SIGHT from the Road as it will be built on the BACK of the proposed P.U.D. so there is no telling what will be built in front of this park!
