Paid Internship, Green Man Festival London Closes Monday 29 September 2014 Paid (£15k-20k) (paid internship) Full time Artform: music, Other, events Contact: [email protected] Description Green Man Festival: Paid Internship Green Man Festival wishes to appoint a paid intern to join our friendly team and gain experience of working for one of the UK’s most successful festivals. Green Man takes place in August of each year in South Wales and features a stunning line-up of music, film, and arts and culture across twelve stages - showcasing 1,500 artists. We would like to recruit a candidate who resides in Wales but is willing to work full time in our busy London office for a year. A Welsh speaker is preferable. The Role Production Intern (40 hours per week) Salary: £18,720 Contract length: 1 year As a member of our small and highly experienced festival team, the successful applicant will be working at the heart of Green Man’s operations. They will contribute directly to the planning and delivering our 2015 festival and will gain detailed experience of the following operational areas (see attached job description for detailed specifications): Event management and production Marketing and promotion Business administration The successful applicant will also benefit from the following training and development opportunities: Attending music and festivals industry showcases Level 1 basic bookkeeping training Adobe InDesign training Telescopic Handler Training Person Specification: Strong communication skills Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills Strong numeracy, literacy, and creative writing skills Competent IT skills Previous experience of working in an arts and/or events management context Educated to degree level or above, or evidence of outstanding success in an events/production role Commercially aware and entrepreneurially minded Up to date knowledge of contemporary music / popular culture / fashion and awareness of forward trends.
