Paid Part-time Posts currently available at the Sanctuary Are you fit and healthy? Passionate about animals? Willing to learn and undergo training? Able to work on weekends? Comfortable in English and Afrikaans? Confident in interacting with the public? Eseltjiesrus Donkey Sanctuary offers interesting and challenging paid part-time positions as either a Visitor Guide OR a Receptionist and Visitor Guide. Visitor guides take visitors into the fields on Saturdays and Sundays (10am to 3pm) to interact with the donkeys. Receptionist and Visitor Guides work Thursdays to Sundays (10am to 4pm) and in addition to Visitor Guiding act as receptionists to our visitors and operate the Donkey Shop and Book Shop. After an initial screening interview, you may be invited to undergo training before a final decision regarding appointment is made. You will be required to learn about handling donkeys, all their names and histories, and safety rules, as well as the ethos of the Sanctuary.
