Pain, pain go away and DONT come back again someday! Medicated with 800 mg Ibuprofen after waking up but it didnt touch the shoulder pain, so I had to pull out the major pain med, OxyContin, ortho prescribed for pain use post op. It is beginning to take some of the pain away. I live for the day I will be pain free and can dress and put on make up and do hair by myself. I have renewed respect for those who are permanently challenged in such ways. I dont see how they do it. Lori Ann, keep icing your shoulder q 20 min on/off prn for pain and take the Ibuprofen. Immobilize with the sling and dont use it for 24 hours. If not better in 24 hours, call an ortho-not an ER doctor or regular MD. Could be a rotator cuff issue. Could also be a bicep tendon issue. Regardless of insurance issues, you need to be seen. Walter Thomas Little, have someone call me after surgery is over tomorrow and let me know how it went. Lori and Walter, my prayers are with you.
