Painful morning at the Dentist Office: Flue shot= checked Physical =checked Dental cleaning=up to date Last time when I went for my cleaning my dentist told me, they need to replace the filling for my tooth#17(lower wisdom teeth) as soon as possible. My appointment was at 10:20am this morning. As I was turning right at Schoenher street receptionist called me and wanted to know how far am I? Because it was 10:30 then. I said it will take me 5 more minutes, I will be there shortly. Than she go well we have another person coming and doctor wont be available, we need to reschedule your appointment. I did not say anything, then she put me on hold. I was kept on driving while listening to beef beef holding sound. Few minutes later she said hello, are you still there, we need to reschedule your appointment. Can I do that right now? I said no thank you ,I am coming to the office and I hung up. I thought to myself it at least cost me $10 worth of gas to get there in this cold day, took time off from work and now she has guts to tell me to reschedule my appointment because I am only 5 minutes late, (well 10min to be precise). Its aint happening. At 10:40am I went to office. As soon as I entered one of the receptionist asked me with her skinny sharpie voice may I help you? I said yes you may. I just talked to someone on the phone. Immediately she is like are you Shumi? I said yes. Then she pulled up my chart and asked me when would you like to come? I said I am already here. Dont you see? She is like you came to make an appointment, right?I said no, I came to see the doctor. Can I please see the doctor? I said I took time off from work and drove all the way here not to make another appointment. ( at that point I did not felt like talking to her anymore, she was somewhat rude for forcing me to reschedule). She gave me an angry look and went inside with my chart and came back to get me and said Doc said he all take you.i said see! Than she goes I did not know that you know him. I said I do not know him personally if thats what you mean but he is my dentist for long time. So yeah he knows me as a patient. I went to room#3 as she directed me. One of the hygienist started checking and getting me ready for the small procedure. Few mins later doctor came and started the procedure. As he was checking my mouth he asked me did you ever have brace? I said no, never. He said for real!? Let me see your teeth, look at them! they are structure so beautifully. Considering I am already in the bad mood, I said you already know the answer, you asked me this question several times before . He smiled and said I am trying to cool you off because you look mad. Then he goes, give me a bright smile! I go everything you see is real, now can you please start it, its going to be painful and I am not looking forward to it. Both hygienists and the doctor started laughing. I am on the other hand could not laugh or smile because they were already working on my mouth wide open. Finally, he numbed my tooth#17, and stated drilling and it was so painful, I mean the sound. Enjoy! :D ~ Shumi
