Pair of Sixs and the James Boraski Trio had a great weekend of performances at Cheers the Village Pub and at the Lakehead Unitarian Fellowship Hall. Todays Sunday Sessions afternoon concert was really amazing... what a heartwarming, generous and complimentary audience!! It was truly great to perform to a listening audience as we prepare for the Solo / Duo competition at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis next week... Thank You... because we know theyll be listening intently there for sure!! First and foremost, we want to thank all of our sponsors... In particular the Thunder Bay Blues Society for holding the IBC competition these past 3 years and giving us all this incredible chance... To be considered one of 255 Acts from around the world is truly remarkable - the financial support for airfare, hotels and excess baggage allowances make up the lions share of the costs, and make it possible for us to attend and compete... We can not thank you enough for helping us realize these dreams and opportunities for our music!! But we cannot stop there... The additional costs of ground transportation, meals and now the US exchange rate add additional cost, and for helping us to address those costs we want to thank our other cash and raffle prize sponsors... Thanks to Joanne Smith of Century 21 Superior Realty Inc., Alan Cranton of the Cranton Wellness Centre; Cosimo, Joe & Enzo Riccio at Music World Academy; Ryan Anderson at Cheers the Village Pub; Gargoyles Grille & Ale; and our musical colleague Sunday Wilde. We also want to say thanks to Fred Upshaw and the Directors at the LUF for hosting the Sunday Sessions concert and for your exceptional generosity... and also to everyone who came out and not only paid admissions, but bought 50/50 and raffle prize tickets, CDs and DVDs to support the cause!!! Special and personal thanks to Connie Boraski, Joe Riccio, Peter Reslinski and Mark Toskovich for your generosity & contributions... you guys are truly amazing friends and band mates!! Humbly, from Ed & I, on behalf of Pair of Sixs... thank you all very, very much for helping us to achieve our goal... We hope to do Thunder Bay, and the Thunder Bay Blues Society proud!!
