Pak Army has continued work inside the loweri tunnel. It is the longest tunnel of the country 8.5 Kilometers long connecting Chitral to other parts of the country through upper Dir. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has allocated 6 billion rupees for the construction and completion of Lowari tunnel which had been started by Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto but excavation work of phase 1 was completed in Parvez Musharaf regime.
