#Pak_vs_Aus #Test #PakvsAus 1st Test , Day 3 : Bowlers put Pakistan firmly in drivers seat As David Warner and Chris Rogers took to the crease to resume their overnight partnership of 113, it was expected to be a long, hard day for Pakistan ’s inexperienced bowling lineup. What followed was the exact opposite as Australia lost all 10 wickets for 175 runs after being 128 for no loss at one point to end at 303 all out, handing Pakistan a 151 run lead in the first innings. Rahat Ali opened the floodgates when he removed Rogers for 38 in the 38th overs . Alex Doolan followed soon after Rahat caught him short of his crease with a direct hit. Captain Michael Clarkes run of poor form on the tour continued as he departed for 2, misreading a Zulfiqar Babar darter and inside edging it to short leg. The in- form Steve Smith went about rebuilding the innings after Australia lost 3 wickets for 30, putting together 48 with Warner, who was ticking along as wickets fell around him, before an attempted cut off Yasir Shah went wrong and Smith became the debutantes first test wicket . Warner was bowled one over later by Shah with just one run coming between the two wickets , Australia suddenly were in a spot of bother with 5 down for 207, 247 behind Pakistan . Brad Haddin and Mitchell Marsh, one of four debutantes in the game, consolidated for 42 runs before another debutante, Imran Khan, bowled Haddin in the dirst over after the new ball was taken . The next four wickets fell for 54 runs, 32 of the coming in a critical 9th wicket partnership between Mitchell Johnson and Steve OKeefe , another debutante. There was some drama in between , with a succession of reviewa being taken by both sides, Marsh falling to an overturned decision after surviving a succesful caught behind appeal by Rahat earlier. Australia s total of 303 all out meant that Pakistan had a healthy 151 run lead to play with . In the absence of Mohammad Hafeez, who had injured his ankle when he stepped on Mitchell Johnson’s foot while trying to field the ball off his own bowling , Azhar Ali opened the innings with Ahmad Shehzad. The two started tentatively before taking a string of boundaries in the last few overs of the day to take Pakistan s score up to 38 without loss at close of play. With a 189 run lead, all 10 wickets in hand and two days to go, Pakistan are clearly in a strong position to push through for a win in the remaining two days but such is the nature of this game, particularly when Pakistan are involved , that any attempt to predict anything is an exercise in. #Danish_Afzal
