@ Pakistan is an evil country, needs to be cleansed out ..Taleban is the natures curse on Pakistanis.. ... No, absolutely wrong , we are now the buffer taking the full brunt of 1000 years old hate and history. Indias historical misgivings towards North of South Asia bequeathed to Pakistan in 1947 are rooted in its psyche and can well be understood. The rationale is based on these master invaders and looters from the North who came and bonded the Indian subcontinent for nearly a millennium, areas where today’s Pakistan is located was the crime scene. The crime scene of a 1000 years’ North Indias ‘inhumane bondage’ is firmly established in the minds of the subcontinents masses. They consider the 1,000 year old invasions as originating from the ancestors of these Pakistanis, though many of these originate from the hinterlands of India and only migrated after 1947.Look at the map Peshawar and Lahore are at the heart of the sub-content and not the periphery.Events that impact Peshawar impacted the North of the sub-continent. We are prisoners of our prejudices, unless we read our history well and articulate it well we have no future as a nation or a region, if Pakistan falls into the hands of vandals there will be serious erosion into North Indian territories. Pakistan serves as a buffer, it is here where the lines have to be drawn. I have explained to many Indian leaders that Pakistan needs to be saved from these vandals and it is in the interest of India to help Pakistan to overcome this crisis. Pakistan has become the buffer from the vandals, Taliban are aiming to get back into old ways to rape and loot the plains , out from the passes on to the plains of sub-continent, Pakistans situation is akin to the rape of Delhi walas from the hands of their own kins. Islamabad Lahore and our cities faces Ahmad Shah Abdalis kind of sack. The urban and temperate people of Pakistan today face something what Delhi walas use to witness from the uncouth hands of the ancestors these present murderers. Take the bugger out and htis war will be fought like before in the plains of sub-continent, now it is restricted to North. History sets the records straight and cuts through all the drivel. The vandals Ghaznavi, Ghauri and others from the North have been like the Visigoths that destroyed the Roman Empire; those Germanic uncouth tribes went on to produce Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, Goethe and Kant and a great nation. Loutish and crudely ideologically insulated Afghanistan produced nothing intellectually; the region remained tied to its old customs. As the world moved on to the ‘Age of Knowledge,’ the dark curtain of ignorance remained firmly in place, only producing more guns, more violence over the last 1,000 years. These are one of the most powerful verses of Mir Taqi. His secular temperament impresses me the most. My preferred is this striking rhyme: Mir ke deen-o-mazhab ka poonchte kya ho un nay to kashka khaincha dair mein baitha kab ka tark Islam kiya What can I tell you about Mir’s faith or belief ? A tilak on his forehead in a temple he resides, having abandoned Islam long ago Very early in my life through his poetry I learned of excesses conducted by the looters of north on the sub-continent. He lived in Mughal Delhi but was uprooted after Ahmad Shah Abdalis sack of Delhi each year starting 1748, Distraught to witness the marauding of his darling and treasured Delhi, these few couplets are immortalised narrative of how subcontinent was looted by these invaders: کیا بود و باش پوچھے ہو پورب کے ساکنو ہم کو غریب جان کے ہنس ہنس پکار کے دلّی جو ایک شہر تھا عالم میں انتخاب رہتے تھے منتخب ہی جہاں روزگار کے جس کو فلک نے لوٹ کے ویران کر دیا ہم رہنے والے ہیں اسی اجڑے دیار کے Ahmad Khan enlisted as a young soldier in the military of the Afsharid kingdom and quickly rose to become a commander of four thousand Abdali Pashtun soldiers. After the death of Nader Shah Afshar of Persia in June 1747, Abdali became the Emir of Khorasan. Rallying his Pashtun tribes and allies, he pushed east towards the Mughal and the Maratha Empire of India as well as west towards the disintegrating Afsharid Empire of Persia and north toward the Khanate of Bukhara. Within a few years he had conquered all of todays Afghanistan and Pakistan, including much of north-eastern Iran and the Punjab region in the Indian subcontinent. He defeated the Marathas eight times, one of his major victory was at the Third battle of Panipat 13 January which was fought north of Delhi in India. This is cheekered history of the sub-content to hold all these lawless tribes as responsibility of Pakistan is unwarranted and fallacious. The tribes in the North are having their itches to move south, we are stropping those ventures.
