Pal ku ee path meeting about the case of the lost money under responsibility of former Twic County’s commissioner I had a chance to join Saturday evening’s meeting between Ajak Kuac Community in Juba and accused former commissioner of Twic County with his colleagues. The meeting was chaired by Twic Mayardit Community leader in Juba who tried hard enough to convince the community of Ajak payam to drop the case against the former commissioner of Twic County in Warrap State. The community of Ajak Kuac Payam completely refused by asking the following questions: Why are we here? While the case has been filed and court has done a lot, now it is almost final stage then what are we here for? It has been four years and former commissioner did not attempt to call a meeting with Kuac, Why now? It is too late the case is almost over in the court. A voice came behind the table in front of us from a great man saying, you people of Ajak Kuac you are right, the court had seen the correct answer that 1+1=2 but community of Twic can see that 1+1=3 for the purpose of peaceful and coexistence of our community. There is nothing late we can still slide in and bring it back to nothing. Please late the door of talk remains open although we don’t have time this evening we can schedule it again on next Saturday. Respond from Ajak Kuac Community It will be a waste of time to reschedule this meeting, because we will say the same things. Second to that Ajak Kuac community has the committee that follow up this case but it is in Kuacjok, we are not responsible for anything here in Juba. We respect you as our leader in Juba, we did not know that it was the case of money we would have not come. Up to this point talk for the next Saturday is in dilemma. The total amount of money brought by Gpoc pipe line construction oil company as trees compensation is 2, 269 920 SSP the received money by Ajak payam is 1, 745 550. The rest is said to be transferring expenses but no prove documents and that is the fight right there. If I am not wrong, around 56748 trees were cut down or uprooted Gpoc in Ajak Payam and each is 40 SSP. Multiple 40 by 56748 you will get above amount. Here are question you guys need to help me with: Can we allow the accuser to get away with it? Why some intellectuals in our community support withdrawal of the case and not punishment? Do you guys think former commissioner will not turn the knife against the community of kuac later on by saying that Kuac withdraws the case because I was not guilt for the lost of money? What will be the image of reality in the mind of lawyer hired by Ajak Payam to follow the case? Where will these attitudes lead us to? Will corruption come to an end? The CDF end up that way but voice of reality is still in silence. We should fight the corruption from the bottom all the way up. It is our turn guys no time to wait.
