Palmer Coolum Resort Media Release Thursday 1 May 2014 Golf tourism shoot aimed at key markets PALMER Coolum Resort, the Sunshine Coast’s number one golf course, yesterday hosted a film crew shooting a golf tourism promotional program which will be aired in Australia, New Zealand and China during the coming weeks. Along with four other Sunshine Coast courses and popular tourism landmarks such as Australia Zoo, Palmer Coolum Resort will feature heavily in one episode of the show which will highlight the beauty and appeal of the region. In Australia the show will go to air on Fox Sports’ ‘The Golf Program’ (aired three times each week), New Zealand’s Sky Sport (three times per week) and TV3 (free to air). In China the program will be aired on the China Golf Channel. Palmer Coolum Resort Director of Golf, Paul Crangle, said the show’s penetration into key markets will be great for the Sunshine Coast. “Golfers in New Zealand and China are very interested in golf holidays to the Sunshine Coast so I’m sure this program will be of benefit to everyone,” he said. “The weather was excellent for filming and the show will represent both Palmer Coolum Resort and the Sunshine Coast really well,” he added.
