Palmer United candidate Maria Rigoni, who ran unsuccessfully in last years Victorian election, has lodged a petition in the Supreme Court to declare the vote unlawful. She says the electoral commission may have breached the law by allowing people to cast their ballots early without declaring why they could not do so on polling day. She says voters voters have been sucked into a whirlpool of democratic illusion by politicians and the VEC.
