Palpora locals stage demos, demands drainage system GK NEWS NETWORK Srinagar, Mar 4: Palpora Eidgah inhabitants Tuesday staged protest demonstrations at Mushtaq Memorial Press Enclave demanding construction of drainage system in the locality. Scores of inhabitants from New Colony Palpora Eidgah including women and children raised anti government slogans. Protestors holding black flags said that officials have neglected their areas in terms of development. “Our locality lacks basic facilities including drainage system, sanitation, transport and other facilities,” said the protestors. They said residential houses in their locality have got inundated putting them to inconvenience. They said that some 200 families are residing in the “neglected locality.” “We demand immediate redressal of our grievances. We have been suffering for longtime and approached every official but all in vain,” they said
