Pamela Anderson. Everyone wants to give her grief. I know this feeling because sometimes I have a lot to say too. We dont attack her because she was wrong, had bad opinions, or bad taste. It always has been about Pams body. Her public romances and marriages to other infamous figures has not helped squash the body shaming that is hurled upon Pam like rotten tomatoes at a bad performance. We are talking hideous misogynistic shit. Boobs, butt, fake these, intelligence and video tapes. Once the comments get passed mocking her frame, its Momma Mia! Horn Dog time. Pam Anderson was not pissing all over the #icebucketchallege. She was only reminding us about the unethical, unreliable, and cruel a great number of these organizations are that your money went to. Whats wrong with that? She didnt say anything that wasnt accurate. So instead of listening we attack a woman based on her appearance. I wonder if it would have been different if the dissenting voice was a hunky actor instead of an ex-showgirl. Would we debate the topic or fight over his rock hard abs and steel butt? The topic. of course. I personally love the ice bucket challenge craze. Just look at what it has done for Lou Gehrigs Disease and its only been one summer! What other miraculously things can social media spawn? Pam Anderson has been active in Animal Rights for years and despite it all she has been consistent with making a better world. I dont know of very many men that could stand up to all the abuse she has taken and still stayed on point as she has. I can only wish I could do as much for animals as Pam has.
