Cue In ====== United Party for National Development (UPND) Livingstone district spokesperson Neto Halwabala has expressed concern at the lack of concern at the wrangles in the ruling patriotic front as a recipe for genocide in the country. Mr Halwabala said the party is shocked that the president Michael Sata failed to direct the police to stop the hooliganism by the fighting PF cadres at state function in Lusaka. He said the hackings and the death could have been avoided if the president was concerned with the peace of the country. He advised the PF to ensure that they hand over a peaceful country to the UPND in 2016 rather than the confusion that they are fueling. He said President Sata is not decided on which camp to support between the GBM and Kabimba team. He said if the cadres cannot tolerate each other within their own party, and furthermore wondered whether they will work with the opposition political parties. And sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said the hackings will continue at state function between the two fighting parties. The source also advised Kabimba to resign on moral ground so that there can be peace in the PF party. Meteorologists say that if initial estimates based on satellite images are borne out, it could be the most powerful storm ever to make landfall. The storm has forced millions to seek shelter in 20 provinces and at least three people have died, officials say. The region was already struggling to recover from a powerful earthquake last month. The authorities have warned that more than 12 million people are at risk from the storm - the equivalent of a category five hurricane - including in Cebu, the countrys second largest city with a population of 2.5 million. Two people were electrocuted in storm-related incidents and another was killed after being struck by lightning, according to officials. Seven others were reported injured. ========= In Sport Handball Association of Zambia General secretary Gregory Phiri, has challenged the new Sports Council of Zambia board, under the leadership of Mwamba Kalenga to include handball courts in its infrastructure development plans. Speaking in an interview with Pan African Radio 105.1FM Ashton Kelly Bunda, Phiri pleaded with National Sports Council of Zambia Board Chairperson Kalenga to advocate for the construction and integration of more handball courts in Zambia. Phiri holds a view that increased constructions of handball courts will help grow the sport beyond Lusaka were it is currently concentrated. Cue In ======= Zambia Athletic Association (ZAA) board secretary, Jonathan Chipalo congratulates veteran sports administrator Mwamba Kalenga on his appointment as sports council of Zambia board chairperson. Chipalo in a cheerful mood says Democracy in sports administration has come to take root in Zambia now with the determined Kalengas appointment. He said Mr. Kalenga’s appointment has come at an opportune time when he comes to usher in the Kids mobile sports projects that will take sports talent identification to the children’s door steps as well as the remote areas. Chipalo observed that Mwamba Kalenga who runs a boxing stable and is former President of Zambia Amateur boxing Federation is a disciplined and capable man will succeed if has full support from the rest of the board members. Chipalo explained that Kalenga’s vision is to advocate for infrastructure and sports facilities that will be within reach of everyday children apart from special competition infrastructure like Olympic Youth Development Center.
