Panache Tent and Event Tent Hints: This information will help you determine the size tent that you need for your wedding or event. Please call us for all of your Tent and Event rental needs. Cocktail/Standing Event- Allow 5 to 6 square feet per person. Reception/Partial Seating Event- Allow 8 square feet per person. Dining/Rectangle Family Style Seating Event- Allow 10 square feet per person. Dining/Round Table Seating Event- Allow 12 square feet per person. Cathedral Style Ceremony Seating- Allow 2 to 4 Square feet per person. Dance Area- Allow 2 to 4 square feet per person. Example: Sally has a guest list of 100 people and everyone will be seated at round dining tables and she will have dancing. Based on this information from Sally, she will need 1200 square feet of dining space and 200 square feet of dance space. So she will need a tent with 1400 square feet. I would suggest that she get a 30 x 50 size tent, and that would give her extra room for food tables, cake, guest book and gift tables. Of course if anything thing else needs to happen under the tent, for example a stage for the band etc. Then the square footage may need to increase based on the needs.
