Papas Girl, 2010 Bay Filly by Pappasito by Corona Cartel, out of Sign Again. I bought her at the Heritage Sale in 2012 and raced her in 2013 and 2014. You can go to the free Horse Races Now app, click on Race Replays, put in Papas Girl, and see videos of her 15 races. One of the races, she was barely beat and the horse that won was rated a SI 93. In her last race, on 7/17/2014 in the mud, the horse on her inside cut in front of her and she had to shut down and go to the inside rail but she never did turn it on. That is when she hurt her knee. We had her x-rayed this week, Aug 28, 2014 by Jim Speer, DVM at 3500 East 45th Street North, Wichita, KS. 67220. His phone is 316-744-2007 and you can speak to him about this mare and look at the x-rays. He said that she had a crack in the front part of the knee, but it did not chip off. He said to rest her till next spring and then x-ray again to see if it had healed enough to run her then. I have decided to sell her and offer her as a broodmare only. I make no guarantees of soundness. As you can see on the pictures and video, there is a bump in the front of her right knee. She is still extremely active and favors it slightly.
