Parade Magazine carried the story of a Vermont nursing student cramming for a rigorous exam. Returning to her table in the coffee shop, she found a note tucked inside her textbook. Im assuming if youre thumbing through [this textbook] youre probably nearing the end of nursing school, said the note. You should be so proud of yourself. Youve worked so hard to get here, and ... its so worth it. Ive been a nurse for twelve years and cant imagine doing anything else. The note, which is now widely circulated online, contained a pep talk -- and a ten-dollar gift card for coffee.
