Paradicsom Alaku-(Capsicum annuum)-Full name Paradicsom Alaku Sarga Szentes. A very rare and delicious Hungarian pepper. Yellow, flat, ribbed, pumpkin-shaped fruit also know as the Pumpkin pepper. The flesh is very thick, crisp and juicy. The Paradicsom Alaku Sarga Szentes peppers are used in salads, fresh salsas, roasted, fried and stuffed. These are also known as cheese peppers. They got this nickname because Artisan cheese makers used them to color up their cheeses. This rare variety was collected at a farmers’ market in Matrafured, Hungary, but developed at Szentes, Hungary. If you stuff this pepper cook stuffing mixture first then add to pepper otherwise pepper will overcook. Paradicsom Alaku chile plants can grow to a height of 30 inches.
