Paragon Planner This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a transport team responsible for the effective scheduling and dispatch of a multi drop delivery service for a prestigious Distribution operation. Utilising PARAGON, the team will be responsible for producing an optimised delivery schedule that maximises supply chain efficiency and delivers a first rate service to the customer. Liaising with local Transport operations to verify resourcing requirements and delivering the operational plan will be another key aspect of the team`s responsibility. Anticipating and addressing operational situations and impact on customer service will be another key dimension to the team`s duties. This will be achieved through the effective use of Transport routing systems and regular communication with customers, drivers and other key internal and external stakeholders. Based out of Redditch the Paragon Planner will be first point of contact to all customers and suppliers. The successful Paragon Planner will have: - Excellent working knowledge of PARAGON route scheduling system - ESSENTIAL (those without will not be considered) - Knowledge of Logistics and road transport operations - A logical approach to problem solving - The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders. - A self-motivated and pro-active approach coupled with strong inter-personal skills - It is expected that successful candidates will either be from a background of Transport Planning /Scheduling, Transport operational management within a logistics / transport environment.
