Paramhamsa Yogivah Giri Ji says: Devotion results in ones - TopicsExpress

Paramhamsa Yogivah Giri Ji says: Devotion results in ones illusional sense of self being dissolved or transcended and replaced with the actual realization of God. When devotion is pure, concentration on the Infinite is unwavering like a flame in a windless place. When devotion is mixed with thoughts and emotions and concentration is difficult, practicing a kriya meditation technique will relax the body and calm the mind. Pure devotional contemplation can then be practiced easily. While maintaining your devotional ardor, strengthen your powers of concentration and improve your meditation abilities, rather than allowing yourself to be too emotionally devotional. Pure devotion is also aroused by aspiration to spiritual growth, super conscious (Samadhi) meditation practice, fervent prayer, visits to sacred places, the company of enlightened Mahatmas, and mental and spiritual attunement with enlightened Gurus.
