Paraphrase from Michael J. Hurd from the wall of Jan Faris: The police turning their backs on Mayor De Blasio just flat didnt like that mayor’s smug and arrogant attitude towards police (he arrived over an hour late to the memorial service and they turned their backs on him when he was given an unwelcomed opportunity to speak). One reason our elected officials have become so smug and arrogant is is because they’ve been given power to initiate the use of force against peaceful citizens, for the alleged sake of others. Obama has used force to shut whistle blowers up unlike any other president in my lifetime and perhaps history, by prosecuting them for treason and similarly high crimes. When what they are doing is exposing crookedness in government. This action by Obama, and the smug attitude of the NY City Mayor, makes this type of politician no better than criminals. A government is supposed to protect its straight people from crooked ones. But what has it turned into? Its turned into a mommy, daddy, and sugar daddy government. So that its no longer here to protect the straight from the crooked so the straight can make an honest living, its here now to entitle the government priviledged and persecute the free entirprise priviledged by alleging they victimize the masses to whom they pay wages. Thus, those the government feels it must protect are its kind, its self, and those it brainwashes for their vote, into believe they are victims who must have the government to protect them from victimizers. There may be some trouble ahead for Big Government entitlement state politicians = all big govt. politicians as we know them. In the end, you can’t be pro-Big Government and anti-police. You can only shout and scream so long for this or that “right,” to be enforced by a government gun, while smugly representing yourself to those you depend on to exercise your definition of social justice. This is a whopper of a contradiction requiring resolution. I interpret the quiet protest of these police against Mayor de Blasio as an early warning sign of a potentially much bigger conflict to come. Michael J. Hurd
