Pardon me while I wrestle with my feelings on the ISIS situation. On one hand, I dont want the US to become militarily involved. I am flat sick of it. While I dont want the US to be isolationist by any means, I believe that we cannot influence religious wars without making things worse. On the other hand, we DID make things worse, much worse, due to BushCos war for oil in Iraq. Regardless of how bad Saddam was, his presence in the middle east provided a balance that kept the rest of the neighborhood in check. So here we are. We literally and figuratively CREATED the mess in Iraq, thanks to the Supreme Court decision to put GWB in office (root cause), so are *we* responsible for cleaning up the mess *we* made? Can we clean up the mess? Comments?
