Pardon my soap box, but I have something to say - I rarely feel the need to engage on social media, but frankly, someone went too far, and I just cant let this one go. My wife and I recently made a very difficult decision to find a loving family for our basset hound mix. It was one of the hardest decisions weve ever had to make, especially after my older dog of 10 years recently passed. It was very hard for us, but THANKFULLY, we found a fantastic couple to take care and love our pal of almost 5 years. Thank you gentlemen, we will be eternally grateful to you for taking in our pal, and welcoming him into your family. In the thread, many folks opined on our decision, which I guess is what can be expected in 2014. My wife decided to delete the post, after receiving a message that asked are you going to give your children away next, or something similar. Thankfully my wife has a much calmer demeanor than I do, because I am appalled at humanity, and this unfortunate internet TROLL. We made a decision that broke both of our hearts, and were blasted by people who have never walked in our shoes. The kid comment though, is thoroughly repulsive. Apologies again for my soap box, and thank you for reading. Its social media people, not an opportunity to anonymously berate and opine on others decisions, and spew self-righteous babble. I hope the TROLL that opined is reading this, but I may have used too many big words, so she may not be able to comprehend.
