Pardon the lengthy intro, but I think I should be heard, not at all loud, but clear(ly). I befriended a Norwegian gentleman over on one of the Kinks groups and we were chatting last night about music and all sorts of personal tastes. I was explaining to him my love of Vincent VanGogh and mentioned that XTC sang about him in Garden of Earthly Delights and then again, when Apple Venus was released, their mentioning of Sunflowers in Id like that. When he finally got a chance to respond to my babbling, this is what he posted..... Yepp. And now u have met me who for a while was managing this Norwegian band Matchstick Sun ,which first Album was called FLOWERGROUND, and was the reason that we got invited to NY due to XTC and SUNFLOWERS. ..... Then he sent this link. I heard XTC influence within the first 50 seconds, and again, at the very end of the song.
