Parent(s), Do you care more about your child (and maybe yourself) receiving attention and popularity than you care about their soul, their future, their mental health, their character, their real happiness, etc? You live in your past and too strongly desire for them (and/or yourself) to have the world, friendships or other relationships, fun, etc. Do you really thin the outcome of your immature obsession w/ getting attention for them or yourself will bring good or be lasting or healthy? Wake up and Grow up, you are NOT the child, you are NOT to be liked all the time by them and their friends, you are to be mature, responsible, parenting, according to the TRUTH you carry around in THE WORD. You know, THAT WORD that IS actually JESUS, your LORD and MASTER, the ONE you cannot manipulate IT/HIM as you may try to do to your children, your spouse, your/their friends, your family, the church, etc. THE WORD of GOD is NOT for you to USE to debate them and twist their arms to agree w/you. THE WORD is to change YOU to be more like JESUS and HE did NOT manipulate or focus HIS time and energy on being popular or making those under HIS charge popular. no, HIS Life was to please GOD, HIS Heavenly Father and to be about GODs business, not drumming up HIS own....so stop trying to start your own Fan club and get closer to JESUS so you can behave more like HIM and not harm those you love.
