Parents, I must say as an educator, I hear 1st hand some of the foolish things that come out of students mouths these days. Daily. I dont IGNORE them. I respond, give them wise counsel, and implore to them to listen to the foolery they boast about and count the cost of their choices. More often than not, they stop and think and make a different choice. Trust, they are their own counsel!! Scary in many ways. The uploaded videos and instagram pics tell it all! Many parents are not parenting, modeling nor guiding. IJS We cant save them all. However, to sit back and be a bystander is just plain ludicrous. Please GOOGLE your childrens names. Google the names of your childrens friends. Pray before you do. This generation is HEAVILY influenced by their peers. Youd be surprised what they post is now sealed on line FOREVER! And after you see what you see. DO SOMETHING. SAY SOMETHING. Or you can choose to not do anything, and when your child has lost their life, you will carry unnecessary guilt, that otherwise could have been avoided.
