Parents, Students, SPCers and Just About Anyone Else, The longer I have been at SPC and gotten to work with everyone here the more thankful I am for you and have come to truly love each and every one of you. I wanted to share what God has been doing in my life and what Hes been teaching me. God has been nudging me in a new direction and I came to the conclusion that He is wanting me to move on to a different job. I have LOVED SPC and nothing bad or questionable has come about. Its simply that Ive sensed God saying you have completed your ministry here and now I want to use you elsewhere. If I stayed it would be going against God and thats not ok. Part of this journey has included applying across the country at all sorts of positions and spending countless hours trying to navigate through opportunities… Knowing I am leaving you all has made a lot of those opportunities look pretty unappealing. Im telling you this story because I value you and it could only be God who could orchestrate something like this. Two weeks to the day I submitted my application I was offered the position. The position fits all my requirements and I could not have put together a better job description on my own. In January I will be moving to Lynchburg, VA to work at Liberty University putting on programming to promote multicultural awareness. Im beyond thankful for the opportunities you have given me and the personal growth that has come about at SPC. You are my friends and I cant tell you how much of a positive impact you have had on my life. What I will ask of you is that you would please pray for me, SPC and Roots as we all transition. God’s got this so under control it’s not even funny! Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” That means too that God has someone else who is in a season being called to somewhere new, like SPC. If I could tell you anything it would be that Jesus loves YOU so much and you matter more than you know! Please seek Him out and choose to be a fully devoted follower of Christ Jesus! Much love xoxo, Kerensa Proverbs 3:5-6 “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.” AMP “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” NIV
