Parents of school age Illinois children should cower and submit? To a commission that wasnt created democratically and has the power to come into their communities, impose inferior educational innovations without their consent, seize their tax dollars, and starve their public schools? What educational bureaucracy is the Tribunes editorial board referring to thats creating such a massive resistance? It cant be the bureaucracies formed by Mayor Emanuels appointed school board or Obamas Dept of Education, managed by Arne Duncan. Could it be those pesky Illinois school districts still holding their own that dont know whats good for their children? The Chicago Tribune Editorial Board says the commission is a good idea to brush aside the peoples will. Good luck with that. Despite formidable propaganda campaigns by the reform industry to win their approval, 18 Illinois school districts already were tested and refused to comply. Word is spreading about this commission. Madigan and his cronies in the Illinois State Legislature have underestimated their power to dictate to the people of Illinois.
