Parents, please have a conversation with your children about how money works, what their credit rating is and how that works. Talk to them about how long their student loans will take to pay off. Express it in the number of days worked at their current job. Seriously, no one else will have this conversation with your children. No one did for me and Im sure no one did for most people. Its really important. Then, talk about your kids choice of post secondary pursuit. Im not necessarily suggesting that they have to take a course of study that will directly lead to employment but, I am saying that maybe employment should be something they think about.
