Parents, the face of education is slowly changing. I admonish you to get into your childs school, and make yourself visible. You have a voice. You dont have to be a guru in the field of education to make a difference. Laws that are put into place today, were already discussed and positioned years ago. Dont be mislead. Public schools will soon be turning into charter schools. The curriculum will change again. Your children no longer take the CRCT. They will be given a test that no one knows about yet. How can educators prepare your child, if they are not prepared? Sleep on that! Its your duty as a parent to make sure your child is successful. Its your job to pull the curriculum. You should know where your child is academically at all times. There are no excuses. NONE! Every person knows an educator. YOU KNOW ME! I am your advocate. I send out FREE information, and Im always a click away. Use your resources. Things are changing. Even if you homeschool your child, laws are changing! Read up! Get on the internet and stay on the Georgia Dept. Of Education website. Get on google. Go to the Board meetings. I cant say it enough, YOUR CHILD NEEDS YOU TO BE ACTIVE! Get wise counsel from educators who are very involved in the system. Wake up!
