Parents urged CM to instruct authority to start counseling for MBBS/BDS selected under NEET UG-2013 The Chief Minister has been called upon to issue instructions to the concerned authority to start/process counseling for admission to MBBS / BDS courses as per NEET UG-2013 results. Speaking at the press conference held at Manipur Press Club by The Parent’s Association of Selected Candidates (NEET UG-2013) today, Y. Tomba Singh- Secretary of the Association told the media persons present that a memorandum has already been submitted to the Chief Minister, copies of which were made available to Minister of Education, Principal Secretary, Director of Health & Family Welfare and president of AMWJU which dealt with the wrong propagation and misinterpretation of the supreme court verdict that quashed the earlier directives of MCI to allow admission on the basis of the result NEET UG 2013 by the local dailies in the State. He further reiterated the verdict of the apex court that specifically states that the ruling will not invalidate actions so far taken under the amended regulations, including the admissions already given on the basis of the NEET conducted by the Medical council of India, the Dental council of India and other private medical institutions and the same shall be valid for all purposes, adding that most of the states like Assam, Uttrakhand, Delhi, Orissa etc. have either fixed or started counseling for admission to MBBS / BDS as per the NEET UG-2013.
