Parking is tight on Russian Hill, and as Janis was getting out of the car that she pulled into our driveway, I got in so I could park it across our driveway. Just then a couple of motorcycles pulled up in front of our building. Janis said, watch out for the motorcycle gang. But I remembered at that moment, as I settled into the car, that our neighbor just got a new red bike. I said to Janis that if one of the motorcycles was red it was our neighbor Andrew. She looked and nodded back to me in the affirmative. Then she whistled like a construction worker to get his attention and smiled and waved at him before hobbling on her crutch into the building. I pulled out of our driveway and got into position to park and the red motorcycle pulled up to my window and asked if I was going to park across the driveway. He wasnt our neighbor, as it turns out, but he was hoping to park in the gap. I told him I was going to indeed park across the driveway, which would take up the gap. Understanding what I was doing, he asked who that lady was that whistled, smiled and waved at him. I told him shes some lady that lives in the building whos hot for bikers. He smiled, chuckled and shrugged... thanked me and went in search of another gap to park his bike in.
