Parrikar has cheated Goemkars on Casinos What a big disgrace and dishonor for Goa and Goans that now their CM Manohar Parrikar has turned into an overt defender for Casinos in the State. By stating that Goa depends on casino revenue of Rs 150 crores to run the finance of the State he has completely exposed himself that he is on the CMs chair with the sole motive to protect the wrong doers be it illegal mining, casino sez mafia etc. Like a chameleon Parrikar has changed his colors on the casinos , from being the most vocal critic of casinos when he was the leader of the Opposition to being the ardent supporter for these gambling houses housed in boats and five star hotels. It is shocking for Goans to hear and that too from their CM Parrikar about the dependency syndrome of Goa on the gambling dens called casinos. What a pity for Goemkars to hear from their educated CM that Goa has to survive on gambling money . There was a time when Parrikar an alumni from IIT, used to preach that Casinos are the worst things that have ever occurred for Goa , he would plead to all Goemkars that he be given again only one chance to rule the State and as a quid pro quo he would ensure that the operations of all casinos be it offshore or onshore are disbanded for good . To grab power in Goa it was the same Parrikar who used to occupy the platforms of anti casino NGO like Aam Aurat Aadmi Against Gambling ( AAAAG) and attract attention of Goenkars as a male protagonist who will get rid Goa of casino culture. The wily and cunning Parrikar after coming to power still played with the emotions of niz goemkars when nearly a year back on August 7th , 2012 he continued his so called rhetoric which in reality was full of lies and mendacity against casinos on the floor of the Assembly that he was on the right path of getting Goa rid of all casinos including the offshore ones. On that fateful Tuesday evening of August last year, Parrikar had reiterated that Goa did not require the revenue from Casinos because it was unnecessary evil. According to Parrikar the Casino money was bad money for Goa and Goans and such money was fit only to be kept strictly in a separate account to be only used for the purpose for old age homes and for elderly people suffering from regressive ailments like Alzheimer’s . What a shame for Goa, that its CM is today justifying the continuation of the casinos in Goa? Parrikar is lying to Goans by stating the Goa is dependent on casinos ,by stating that If he closes casinos overnight who will replace Rs 150 crore? It seems Goemkars would have to stand with a begging bowl for alms if casinos are thrown out of Goa. Parrikar after allowing illegal anchoring of MV Horseshoe on Mandovi River, is making all out efforts to get floating casinos in Zuari river by conniving with MPT Chairman P Mara Pandiyan ( IAS). The spree to issue casino licenses has gained momentum with Parrikar at the helm of affairs. it seems now a new license to start an onshore casinos at Pebble brook in Porvorim belonging to Delhi based, former Casino King of Nepal - Rakesh Wadhwa also a fugitive from Nepal is being considered by our so called Mr Clean CM Manohar Parrikar . This deceptive and controversial casino tycoon Rakesh Wadhwa’s company Update Recreation and Gaming Pvt Ltd already runs three onshore casinos Dunes at Zuri White Sands- Varca, Treasures at Majorda Beach Resort Majorda and Goldfinger at Cidade De Goa- Donna Paula in Goa which has ruined Goemkars who account to nearly hundred percent of his clientele . The fourth casino of Rakesh Wadhwa Las Vegas at Leela in Mobor has not been operational for the past nine months. All the four casinos of Rakesh Wadhwa employ maximum Foreigners including Nepalese, Irish , Sri Lankan. In the name of employment Goans are mostly provided low profile jobs of waiters , bouncers, drivers etc. High profile Goans are harassed and forced to quit. But for our Parivartan CM Parrikar Bab who is also the Home Minister it hardly matters whether a fugitive from a neighboring country is running casinos in Goa through his company Update Recreation and Gaming Pvt Ltd. . Because simple reason Parrikar is dependent on the casino money which at one point of time he used to call bad money. There is a foreign lady Director from Sri Lanka in Rakesh Wadhwa’s Update Recreation and Gaming Pvt Ltd. who does not provide correct information to the Goa Home Department or its police in Goa on the purpose for work visa to the Goa . This Sri Lankan lady whose Visa is expiring in October has been telling a lie that she is working as a Project Chief or Project VP, but in reality she is one of the Directors of Update Recreation and Gaming Pvt Ltd and was the chief person running the Las Vegas Casino in Leela –Mobor. However our CM Parrikar’s Home department is a BIG FAILURE as it has not checked the correct antecedents of this foreign Director of the Company belonging to Rakesh Wadhwa –a renegade from Nepal. It is an ironical situation that I being two term MLA has to constantly remind a five term MLA who is also a IIT award winning Prime Ministerial Candidate Manohar Parrikar to stop defending casinos of Goa be it offshore or onshore because these gambling houses solely survive by cheating and robbing Goa and niz goemkars.
