Part 1: this is a list of all my jobs since the about the age of 10 yrs. About 1967 Making & selling boomerang- door to door in Victoria, NSW, city & country towns, for a few years during weekend, public and school Holiday. Corroboree- performs at the old Bacchus Marsh Lion Park and other places on weekend, school and public holiday included performing for famous people and perform in the Moomba parade. Factory hand- work with sheet metal learn to make & build tool boxes, Neon signs, Light frames, First Aide cabinets, spray painting for about 10 month. Victoria Railway- folding up giant carps, loadings & unloading rail trucks, Forklifts Driver, Crane Driver, stunting rail trucks for about 12 month. Factory Hand- learns and helps with making shoe/clogs for about 8 month. Factory Hand- new and used work shop machinery, help with loading & unloading truck, arrange delivery and clean machinery, for about 6 month. Factory Hand- sander operator as making Aboriginal souvenirs the only job l think l fail at doing. Factory hand- Guillotine Operator, Press Operator, Forklifts Driver, assorting difference grades of metals for over 12 month. Factory Hand/Cleaner there has been many casual employments here, there and wherever l can find or get work. Factory Hand- making jewellery, neck chain for about four/five month. Swinburne College- 12 month course in Black Study (learning about my people and myself, including 3 weeks work experience up and around Alice Spring NT) and that when my life have change and my eye were open and see the world in the difference way . Victorian Aboriginal Health Service- Medical Driver, (Dental Driver Field Officer have travel around this state many times), Welfare/Social Worker, Funeral Driver, furniture mover, goes between for doctor/patient’s home visit, Mental Health, Community Bus Driver and PR work for ACES (Aboriginal Community Elders Hostel) in totally of 17 yrs in 3 differences stages l have work there. Victoria Aboriginal Child Care Agency- as a first Kooris male Family Aide Worker lasted about 8 month. Short Course- Live Sound, Mixer and Roadie. Aboriginal Advancement League- Office Worker, Furniture mover, Delivery guy, cleaner, Aboriginal College in Adelaide S.A- for 12 month to catch up on my education and then back to the VAHS. l have done times in Prison, lock ups and Youth Training Centres, The Mad House and being on the Dole, been a binge drinker or two and in totally l think up to 6 years l been out of work force since l was 15 yrs. I have done a hint of being a roadie/mixer for a few bands. By the time l move to Heywood in 1995, It took me a long time to find out what l wanted, l thought l be working here and there until l have found what l was looking for and got a second chance in life when l got handed a Medical Driver job at the VAHS and it open my eye, my heart and it restart my career in a new direction by helping my people for the last 30 odd yrs. It took me a life time of growing, learning, understanding, heartaches and to get where lm now today. So far in my life l believe l have travel over a couple of millions mile/km of highways, freeways, airway, dirt roads, back roads, off roads and side streets of this beautiful country of ours. lm looking forward to the next chapter in my life and see what else l can learn, who l can help, where lm travelling to next and see where my destiny would take me to ??????.
