Why do I need the Spirit. Because it is the Spirit that quicken because I am dead in trespasses and sins. 4. What did tell the rich man? Only God is good or perfect. 5. What did He tell Saul? He was sinning against God. Now what do I do? 1. Repent! Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 2.a. Believe. I am dead in trespasses and sins: Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; God is the only one perfect, we are not. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; b. Believe. Your sins have separated you from your God. Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. c. Believe. The wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a For the wages of sin is death; d. Believe there are two deaths for those who are not born again. Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. e. Believe God when He says Lying is just as bad as murder! Believe that being afraid of what people will think about you if you trust God is more important than what God thinks. Worshipping idols is sin. God sees your impure thoughts and they are sin. Believe that God loves you. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. f. Believe God loves you. 1 Peter 4:8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. g. Believe that only Jesus can save. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 3. Trust in the Lord for salvation. Romans 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 4. Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save you. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Luke 23:42-43 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. Acts 8:36-37 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Will you trust Him today? Then let someone know. Matthew 10:32-33 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
