Part 2: Establishing Gods Kingdom But how shall this be? How shall satan and his angels be cast down from exercising authority over the earth? How shall they be stopped from running the kingdom of darkness on the earth? It is by the preaching of the word. Our Lord Jesus demonstrated this through seventy disciples: Luke 10:1-3,8-9,16-18 reads: After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come. [2] Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. [3] Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves. [8] And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: [9] And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. [16] He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me. [17] And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. [18] And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. From this we see that it is as the seventy disciples preached the gospel of the Kingdom with power (taking over the territories of mens hearts by Gods word and demonstration of power) that satan was cast down as lightning. Unfortunately, if we go to the cities where these victories took place most of them are Muslim now because the victory was not maintained (as in the case of a demon cast out from a person). But in this case in Revelation 12:10, it is a final once and for all cast down of satan, such that there is no more any spiritual wickedness in heavenly places, rather it will ne spiritual righteousness. And for this to happen, God will raise (and is raising) a body of people (all over the world) that He will empower to preach (and bear witness to) His truth in the same manner that our Lord Jesus did while He was on earth. It is through such people that the victory is obtained. As we are told in Revelation 12:11, these people will emerge victorious because of three main things: Revelation 12:11 NIV They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. - they will have faith in the BLOOD OF THE LAMB such that they have confidence to declare Gods truth. Like Peter who walked on water, do would have learned how to stay afloat in righteousness through faith in God rather than focusing on their weaknesses. - Next, they will bear witness to Gods truth by preaching it. This is the main weapon actually. But to be able to preach, they need confidence and stability, and they have learned to obtain this through the blood. - But satan will desperately try to stop them. So we see bravery as displayed by the apostles and by shedrach, meshach and abednego. We are told that they would not shrink from their duty of declaring the truth even in the face of death. Like as we see in the case of shedrach, meshach and abednego, who through faith displayed power over fire, so also these people, through faith in God will display power over death as they do not hold back their lives in the course of declaring truth. May the Lord prepare us spiritually, mentally, emotionally and psychologically to be part of these people through whom the Kingdom of God will be established in our localities. Amen.
