Part 2 Many years ago, maybe 10 or so, after just having finger foods on Christmas Day my mother, Linda Helton Kaufman, said enough of that this year we are having tacos, everybody likes tacos. So from that point on we have had tacos on Christmas Day. Well, mom would never consider herself a trend setter but after hearing Jody Kaufman tell the horror stories of shopping for our meal tomorrow it seems as if the world is following moms lead. Apparently all of the stores in town had bare shelves in the taco aisle. We got what we needed and we will be having tacos for our Christmas Day eating extravaganza but as we sit and talk about Jodys ventures the past few days we are smiling as the tears roll down our cheeks. I dont normally boast or brag but now I can say without a doubt my mom started the Christmas Day taco eating extravaganza. And yes I will overindulge tomorrow on her behalf. I think about her everyday and this year other people have made her loss easier to deal with because in my opinion everyone thats eating tacos tomorrow is celebrating her memory.
