Part 2 to my 4 part Poem Series titled CHICAGOLAND Pray If That makes you feel better/ If your Really Hurt will it make you Heal Better? In stead Act and not Re-Act to make the way we live better/ The war on violence will not stop thriving or rising/ unless you take a position other than just surviving/ make a decision to do something other than the norm/ reform your way of thinking, strive to be different/ Perform only after you adjust and Listen/ even if you receive ridicule for your persistence/ on a mission for uplift-ment instead of casting off the lost as good riddance/ for something cold hard and truthful The facts are eternal, lies are so youthful/ Which side do you reside, that stance beides your pride is crucial/ this is how we keep living, Not Dying, Not Lying, Not crying, but Standing up for what you believe in/ is what will be proof Never Stop Surviving Because Generations to come will need someone to believe in/ So ask, will-that-be-you?
